MCP server

Postify MCP server

Connect ChatGPT, Claude or any MCP client to your Postify workspace. Ask it to draft posts, read your schedule and analytics, or move a post to a better time. Nothing goes live until you say so.

Included on every plan, including Free; plans are on the pricing page.

Connect your assistant

The server URL is the only thing to copy. There is no API key: your client opens Postify's sign-in and consent screen, and you approve what it may do.

ChatGPT, Claude and other apps

Add a custom connector (or remote MCP server) in your client's settings and paste the URL above, then sign in to Postify when it asks.

Claude Code

claude mcp add --transport http postify https://app.usepostify.com/api/mcp

The 14 tools it exposes

  • list_postsscope: posts:read

Lists recent posts with their status and per-channel delivery outcomes.

  • get_postscope: posts:read

Reads one post in full: its variants, schedule and delivery attempts.

  • get_schedulescope: posts:read

Lists the posts scheduled inside a date window.

  • list_inbox_itemsscope: inbox:read

Reads mentions, comments, replies and DMs synced from connected channels.

  • list_channelsscope: channels:read

Lists the connected social accounts with their network and handle.

  • get_analyticsscope: analytics:read

Reads workspace numbers: posts published, posts scheduled and delivery success rate.

  • search_media_libraryscope: posts:read

Finds images and videos in the workspace media library.

  • search_docsavailable to every connection

Searches Postify's public API docs: endpoints, error codes, webhooks and scopes.

  • create_draftscope: posts:write

Saves a draft for you to review in Postify. It never publishes or schedules anything.

  • reschedule_postscope: posts:write

Moves a scheduled post to a new time.

  • suggest_optimal_timescope: ai:generate

Suggests the best times to post on the networks you pick.

  • publish_nowscope: posts:write

Publishes a post to its channels now. Off until a workspace owner turns it on, then preview and confirm on every call.

  • delete_postscope: posts:write

Deletes a post and keeps its history. Off until a workspace owner turns it on, then preview and confirm on every call.

  • list_workspacesavailable to every connection

Lists the workspaces this connection may use, with your role in each.

The assistant only sees the tools its approved scopes allow. The full reference, with the error codes an assistant gets back, is in the MCP guide.

You stay in control

You choose the scopes

The consent screen lists every permission, and tools outside the scopes you approve are not even shown to the assistant.

Publishing and deleting stay off

publish_now and delete_post are blocked until a workspace owner turns on Dangerous AI operations. Even then, each call is previewed and needs a confirmation that expires after 10 minutes.

One workspace unless you say otherwise

If you belong to several workspaces, you pick which ones the assistant may use. Access to a workspace ends when you leave it.

Every call is on the record

Each tool call, allowed or denied, is written to the workspace audit trail, and each connected app is listed in settings next to its disconnect button.

Frequently asked questions

Can ChatGPT or Claude post to social media with Postify?

They can draft posts into Postify, read your schedule, analytics and inbox, and move a scheduled post to a new time. Publishing from the assistant is off by default: a workspace owner has to turn on Dangerous AI operations, and even then every publish is previewed and confirmed first.

Can the assistant schedule a new post?

Not directly. The create_draft tool saves a draft and never schedules or publishes it, so you review the draft and pick its time in Postify. The assistant can move a post that is already scheduled with reschedule_post.

Do I need an API key to connect?

No. Your AI client registers itself and opens Postify's sign-in and consent screen in your browser (OAuth 2.1 with PKCE). You approve which scopes and which workspaces it may use.

Which AI assistants work with the Postify MCP server?

Any MCP client that supports remote servers over Streamable HTTP with OAuth sign-in, including ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code and Cursor. Add a custom connector or remote server with the server URL on this page.

Which Postify plans include the MCP server?

Every plan, Free included. Your plan's normal monthly limits still apply to what the assistant does.

How do I disconnect an assistant?

In Postify, open Settings, then API Keys, then Connected AI apps, and disconnect it. Consent and refresh tokens are revoked immediately, and any access token the client still holds expires within the hour.

Building your own integration instead? The REST API, TypeScript SDK and webhooks work on every plan too.
