Delete your data
How to disconnect an account, remove Postify from Facebook or Instagram, and delete everything we hold — and exactly what each one removes.
Disconnect a single account
In Postify
Sign in and open Channels in the sidebar, then disconnect the Facebook Page, Instagram account or Threads profile you want removed. This deletes the access tokens we hold for that account and the profile data we cached for it (page and account names, avatars, follower counts).
What stays
Posts you already published stay on the social platform itself, and their delivery history stays in your Postify workspace so your records and audit log remain intact. Deleting a published post is done on the platform, or from your workspace — disconnecting does not retract anything already posted.
Remove Postify from Facebook, Instagram or Threads
From your Meta account settings
You can revoke Postify from the platform side instead: on Facebook go to Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites; on Instagram go to Settings → Website permissions → Apps and websites. Remove Postify there.
What we do when you do that
Meta notifies Postify automatically. If you removed our access, we flag the matching channels as needing reconnection and email the workspace owner — the tokens Meta revoked no longer work, so nothing can be published to those accounts until someone reconnects them. If you asked Meta to delete your data, we go further: we delete the access tokens and the cached Meta profile data for every channel linked to your Meta account, disconnect those channels, and hand Meta a confirmation code for the request.
Delete your Postify account and all of its data
Request it from support
Postify does not yet have a self-serve account-deletion button — we would rather say so than point you at a control that isn't there. Email [email protected] from the address on your account, or use the in-app support form, and ask for account deletion. We action these by hand.
What full deletion removes
Your user account, your workspace and its members, every connected channel and its tokens, your drafts, scheduled and published post records, uploaded media, templates and presets, and your audit and delivery logs. Backups roll off on their normal retention schedule, and we may keep the minimum billing records tax law requires.
Check a deletion request
Your confirmation code
When a deletion request reaches us through Facebook or Instagram, we return a confirmation code and a status link. Opening that link shows whether the request was received, completed, or failed — and how many connected channels it affected. Nothing is claimed as done before it is done.
If a code shows no record
If the status page has no record of your code, the request never reached us. Email [email protected] with the code and we will complete the deletion directly.
