FAQ
The questions Postify support hears most — accounts, channels, plans, teams, the API and AI assistants.
Do I need an account to try Postify?
No. You can try Postify in guest mode without creating an account, and every paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial once you do sign up. See Getting started.
Which social platforms can I connect?
10 platforms today — see the full list and per-platform connection notes in Channels and platforms. A channel is one connected social account; how many you can connect depends on your plan.
Why does a channel ask me to reconnect?
Social platforms expire authorizations over time. Postify runs a background token-refresh job to keep connections healthy wherever the platform supports refresh; when a platform doesn't (or a token is revoked on their end), you reconnect it from the Channels page. See Channels and platforms.
What's the difference between the plans?
Free, Starter, Team and Agency differ in connected channels, team seats, AI credits, video transcription minutes, API requests, and features like the approval workflow and client review links (Team and Agency only). Every paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial and billing runs through RevenueCat. See the full comparison in Plans and pricing.
Can my team collaborate in the same workspace?
Yes — teammates share the same channels, media library and calendar. Seat limits depend on plan (1 on Free/Starter, 5 on Team, 20 on Agency), and Team/Agency add an approval workflow so a reviewer signs off before a post goes out. See Teams and approvals.
Can a client review posts without a Postify account?
Yes, on the Team and Agency plans — share a client review link and they can review content without needing a seat. See Teams and approvals.
Is there an audit trail of who did what?
Yes. Workspace activity — including every AI and API tool call, allowed or denied — is recorded in an audit trail you can review inside the app. See Teams and approvals.
How do I connect an AI coding agent (Claude Code, Cursor, etc.) to my workspace?
Postify runs a remote MCP server with OAuth — no API key needed for that path. Click "Onboard your agent to Postify" anywhere you see the pill, or go straight to /agent-setup for per-agent setup, or read the full Connecting AI assistants guide for the OAuth scopes and tool list.
Does Postify have a public API and webhooks?
Yes — a REST API at https://app.usepostify.com/v1 (API keys created under Settings → API keys) and Standard Webhooks-compliant webhook delivery. See the API reference and the webhooks guide linked from it. The official @postify/sdk TypeScript client verifies webhook signatures for you.
How do I delete my account or data?
Postify does not yet have a self-serve account-deletion button. Email [email protected] from the address on your account, or use the in-app support form, and ask for account deletion — these are actioned by hand. Meta-linked data-deletion requests (Facebook/Instagram/Threads) go through the callback described at usepostify.com/data-deletion.
